Slater, a Sunday host of Simply Real Estate on Newstalk 1010, a left-leaning radio broadcaster, began his show on Sunday, March 10, 2024, by emphasizing that he did not represent "typical media." He expressed his view that much of the mainstream media consisted of "narcissists who gaslight like crazy and are government puppets," adding that "most of their headlines are not factual."

Slater then went on to slam the Trudeau government and didn't hold back. He called out the Liberals for lying, leading the country into extreme debt, unsustainable mass immigration, an extreme rise in homelessness, the housing crisis many Canadians are facing, and more.
