We need to get rid of all these clowns, they are destroying Canada, impoverishing us. Downsize government by 90%.

He’s still a traitor pig. Never forget what he did to unvaccinated families.

Not to mention what he did to businesses in Ontario via the Reopening Ontario Act. I've never supported this traitor pig and I never will. Last election I voted for Derek Sloan's Ontario Party. They're gone now so we'll see what choices we have next election. When Ford first got in, I voted Libertarian.

Take thousands from e everyone and then give them back a little of their own money ? Nothing right or honourable about any politician nowadays , probably never was.

Honourable is the title they never deserve. That is why it is a granted title for the loyal to evil.

This chart pretty much says it all:

https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/annual-co2-emissions-per-country?country=OWID_NAM~OWID_EUR~OWID_ASI~OWID_AFR~AUS~OWID_SAM

Note the sharp rise in Asian CO2 emissions circa 1950, corresponding to the emergence of China and India as manufacturing nations. Also notice the point where European and North American CO2 emissions start to roll off circa 1980, which corresponds to the beginning of outsourcing manufacturing to China and India.

The obvious conclusion is that nothing we do in Europe or North America is going to have any impact on global carbon emissions. The only thing that could change that is if China and India imposed the same standards as NA and Europe, but how likely is that?

The obvious response, if your goal is to actually reduce global carbon emissions, is to impose tariffs on goods manufactured in China and India to force them into compliance, but that would raise their costs of production to the point where we'd be paying a lot more for their imports, so goodbye Walmart.

Whatever you think about "climate change" breathing clean air is rather nice, and I speak as someone who remembers how polluted western cities were in the 60's and 70's. Nothing like New Delhi or Beijing today of course, but that problem is beyond our ability to solve other than forcing compliance by directly taxing (tariffs are essentially a tax) the people responsible for the major part of global CO2 emissions. Anything less is just a tax grab and will have zero impact on the problem allegedly being addressed.

Is this for legal Ontarians, or will all the so call immigrants get it as well, who have not paid a dime into our tax system.

Must be getting near an election. I am Conservative, but Mr. Ford does nothing to help unless it benefits him.

The WEF tax then a partial rebate.
