Yeah teacher is def lying that she did that by accident. I think it's awesome the kids ratted her out about lying 😂

But teacher needs to go. She is a shill. I wouldn't be surprised if they plant activists pretending to be well meaning teachers but they're really there to groom the kids.

Before Trudeau the Liberal Party of Canada was center left, however since Trudeau took leadership the Trudeau Liberal Party have gone so far left they have even surpassed the always far left socialist policies of the NDP!

Trudeau is responsible for all of the foreign interference everywhere in our country now including protecting the identity of these operatives currently in parliament or formerly in parliament working against Canada and our people.

I know the rot is deep… it’s disturbing and alienating but keep the faith… 2025 is the year of change we’ve all been so desperately waiting for.

You know that is easier said then done, right. Both parents need to work to just pay the bills and put food on the table. I really wish it was that simple though. At the end of the day, the end game is to get employment and the majority of our children need that piece of paper saying they have such and such skills. It’s a sad reality but not all of our children have the mind of someone like Elon to make it uneducated. The elitists make it really really difficult for us peasants.

I find most of the people saying stuff like that have never homeschooled in their lives. So easy to finger wag 😅

Expand full comment
David Roland's avatar

If you homeschool, the schools can come after you as well. There is a legal argument around it though to force the school to do what they neee to do and we the people have to stand up. We r under attack. Why take it? Why run away?

Expand full comment
chycho's avatar

Most of my students are homeschooled. There is a huge difference between homeschool kids and those that attend public or private schools, on all fronts. Most are emotionally and mentally way more mature, most aren't a product of some bizarre corporate marketing campaign, most are way, like years, ahead in their math literacy, and most are way more grounded and worldly. In short, homeschool kids tend to make smarter and more responsible adults.

The province dictates the curriculum. How is it possible that people are having a hard time understanding this.

As someone who has been teaching math in BC for 25 years, I have seen education completely destroyed, especially in relation to what the centralized power is pushing, and in BC it's total woke culture, feel good marking if there ever is marking, and no homework, with some of the least qualified people hired to "teach" children, people that have a distorted view of life and an agenda that is not to the best interest of children.

I use to be an advocate for public education and an avid defender of teachers, no more.

I've accidentally shown a YT video in my class that was inappropriate. Here's how it went down... 10-seconds in, I realized I had the wrong video. I stopped it immediately. I apologized to the kids, then told the principal so she knew. And then I told the parents what had happened immediately.

Mistakes happen.

But there's no way on God's green earth a teacher could accidentally show a video like this in its entirety. No way an accident is exposed only when the kids tell their parents what happened.

The teacher is despicable, and the everyone involved from the teacher up are liars. The end.

The movie is definitely for an older audience like high school. This could be a video released to counter the sexism that is trying to remove educational issues from the classroom. The my child only should learn from parents but that is a very different situation and I bet most kids learned about sex from friends and other ways. I found some of it funny and the end conversations on topics of NO and the understanding of the word NO appropriate.

Yes I have 5 children now adults. We were open in our family about their bodies. They are all healthy and sensible people with their own children. Most parents do not teach their children anything about sex or their bodies and feelings. I don’t know why you are so uptight about young teenagers learning about what is an important topic at their ages from grade 5-8. Children hear other kids talking about those exact topics you cringe at which is absolutely ridiculous. The more education they have the better prepared they are to make wise choices and make informed decisions about what they believe in life. Kids start learning in grade 1/2 about their piers. Girls chase boys and boys chase boys and they get dared about kissing them. A harmless game which is also teaching kids boundaries and making choices about their own boundaries. That is a healthy education. As they get older they become more aware and educated in class about how they function as adults or young people. If they have been taught healthy habits and boundaries we will have less pregnancies in young people and also the ability as educators to spot problems in a child and get help for them. I bet you had absolutely zero education from your parents and are scared to death that something is going to happen to one of your children. Time to do some reading on children and how they grow and adapt to their environment. Parents freaking out are easily giving their children a view of sex and sexuality is dirty and wrong. Too bad as they will never be able to function properly in a relationship and not have those uptight feelings. Good luck and you have never given the age group or the number of children in your family.

I raised two amazing daughters and we were also open but this is about what’s being taught in school!! Sex, sexuality needs to be addressed at home and it’s not about being uptight.. far from that.. there is no place for this in school. We will agree to disagree.. thanks for the talk..
