IF they put the patient on the newly created & prescribed “COVID protocol” while they waited for the covid lab test to come back… If the patient was on the protocol the doctors were also forced by hosp administrators to put down Covid as the cause of death on all their Death Certificates even if not true.(Doctors were reporting this un-ethical behavior by the boss-administrators back then !!!…(2020 -2023).
Thus, the sooner they (the patient) died, the more money the hospital could keep and not have to spend it on their longer term care…….
NOTE: This IS what happens when the power & leadership is shifted AWAY from ethical trustworthy MDs & given to administrators !!!! (businessmen)… THEY HAVE DIFFERENT GOALS !
That process started in earnest in the 80s when Medicare ( Feds) started taking over medicine)… The GOAL then becomes driven by the numbers ($) and coding codes, for business purposes, not by doctors’ decisions on medical management made in the best interest of the patients….
*ie- people were KILLED.
Again the process all started in the 80s with a govt & news campaign to paint ALL doctors as “too greedy, we need to take over” !….. That campaign succeeded because private doctors cannot unionize or go on strike… to protect themselves and the profession from the false statements & accusations…(Most doctors were behaving honestly and still are. ). But, many have noww been threatened,silenced and suppressed and some even corrupted or gullible & under pressure & threats to comply with new rules !!!!!…. They too are human !!! and want to keep their jobs…..
BTW: It is now known in Psych literature that business CEOs tend, more-so than average (of us all) to have some element of Psychopathy ( they want to dominate , but DO sacrifice at least some ethics)…but they are good at deception….
