This is an excellent recording of the Kitchener-Waterloo town hall meeting revealing the clear backdoor portal used by NGO, UN, WEF, infiltrating municipal level governance implementing the 15 minute cities agenda. More importantly, it spells out the actions that the working class can use that will begin to bring back the rule of law by the people of these communities earmarked for transitioning into 15 minute cities. Definitely worth a listen and needs to be shared with communities around the world.
I understand the issue people have with things being forced on them by non-democratic means, but I'm not sure I understand the material objections to a 15 minute city. Many places I've lived or visited over the years were effectively 15 minute cities, although they weren't called that. Where my mother lived in Tokyo for example, or my Aunt lived in Geneva, both fit the description. Everything you needed was within walking distance. Same thing when I lived in Toronto or later Vancouver. Both neighbourhoods had everything you needed close by. Of course it was like that everywhere before the automobile, and still is in many parts of Europe and Asia, so one could argue that's been the basic model for most of human history.
I'm old enough to remember the panic when the big box stores like Walmart arrived and people felt it would kill the traditional small town centers, and it did in many cases. Drive through small town America today and you see that everywhere. Beautiful historic buildings boarded up and in disrepair. Perfectly livable environments at one time. Where I live now (small town BC) our council has made a huge effort to improve the town center and attract business and tourists, and it's working. It's a very nice place, and I'd much rather shop there than at Walmart, which is 20 minutes away by car.
Seems to me the same people who panicked about the big box stores are now panicking about returning to the way it was before they arrived. Strange. Am I missing something here? I'd rather pay a little more and not have to drive, which has its own costs that you have to factor in when you go shopping at the mall. Basically it's a wash, except you generally get better quality when it's a small family run business. Something about this just doesn't add up for me. Again, am I missing something?
There are a lot more sinister objectives to the 15-minute cities, aka the C40 cities. Sure, the name “15-minute cities” sounds great, but when you look at certain things included, like restricting meat consumption, fining people for leaving their 15-minute zones, limiting you to buying 3 new pieces of clothing per year, restricting you to 1500 km by plane a year, and if you go over, you get fined, and many other sinister things, I’d say a lot of their plans take away many freedoms people enjoy and have today.
Yeah, that part I'm definitely not up for. OTOH, it's so absurd I can't see it ever getting off the ground, but if it does, I'll be using my air miles to move to Russia.
Yes corporations ALWAYS kill the small biz structure, Canada isn't very supportive of small biz, has never been. Why people like the Corporate stores - think about it, volume purchasing, and low quality mfg reduces pricing... hence our garbage piles have exploded since I was a child and I've been a small town BC girl my whole life.
My fathers side arrived in Canada on one of Jacques Cartier's ships, my mom, well she didn't arrive until she was 3 years old.
The very act of pushing consumerism was a post WWII direction chosen for economic recovery, rather than the developmental structures of FDR in the US and Canada followed suit.
There is pretty much been a squashing of any moves that supported Independence of a Country, in fact the colonial imperialists would rather start a war that allow that to happen, time and time again...
Anticipating the response as an objection to having things foisted on us by international agencies, I get that. But if it's a good idea why not just tell them, hey, thanks for the great idea, we'll take it from here, and then go and do it. It worked where I live and I don't see why it can't work elsewhere. Think global act local, right?
It's not the concept of 15 min cities as you point out, some already exist, in fact my home town could be 'labelled' as such.
What we are objecting to is the installation of control mechanisms. The very Malthusian methods for developing unsustainable green tech and the lack of informed consent, lack of freedom, the coming of what sounds like the CBDC's as a mechanism for Social Credit Scores.
The fact that you seemingly don't have issues with these, well I have a few concerns about personally...mainly how deep the indoctrination has gotten over these past post WWII especially, but to be honest, this originates from the very sinister development of a Malthus theory taken on by the oligarchs. Especially those labeled our 'Global King' at the WEF... whose father initiated the WWF and whom on his deathbed wished he could be reincarnated as a deadly virus.
We've since that epoch have been able to prove that technological advances have assisted us in growing the food we need, ability to reverse desertify arid regions and create sustainable energy... so why stick with a Draconian philosophers view on life on planet earth?
"The fact that you seemingly don't have issues with these..."
I have issues with all of it. I just wasn't aware of the details. Again, though, I don't see it actually happening. As they used to say in the USSR, these WEF people like to think big thoughts. I can see how they might use the idea to distract our attention, but to actually implement such a plan? Far too ambitious and doesn't take into account that society is likely to implode long before they get their chance. It's on its last legs already. Look at the chaos in Europe. For more reasons than I have time to go into, I see a situation emerging where these WEF types will be removed. When people lose everything, they tend to lose it and we're getting close to that point. The trucker protest was just an early warning sign. No city, 15 minute or otherwise can survive a mass transportation strike, and when people get hungry, you'll see what they're actually capable of.

When people do not fear death,
How can they be threatened with death?
Suppose people fear death and still do not conform,
Who would dare seize them and put them to death?

To substitute for the Master Executioner in killing
Is like substituting for the Master Carpenter who carves.

You may want to invest some time into some great substack writers such as Alex Krainer, Matt Ehret, Joaquim Flores (although I think he's only on Telegram) and for a way OUT, check out the Schiller Institutes plan for a multipolar world in peace... (you can find some of them in my recommendations on substack).
Thanks. Some of them I'm already familiar with. The rest I'll look into. Been following LaRouche (RIP) since the early 80's! He used to run these 1/2 hour long campaign ads on national TV. We used to watch them on 'movie night' which was a gathering of friends who worked in software and hardware development. Amazing how the things he predicted have come to pass. Only thing missing is the land bridge across the Bering Straits. The rest is already in place or being built as we speak. He was right that Russians are our natural allies. Disgraceful what they did to him, and what's being done to Russia and China as we speak, not to mention Palestine and much of the Muslim world, who are also potential allies if only we'd support the majority impulse towards secularism and not the rabid Wahhabis the Saudis are so fond of.

Shelagh MacFarlane - so much gratitude for showing the way!
I wrote to my town mayor - asking him for his oath of office docs to start, or asked would I require an FOI to receive them.
Another point I made is that I have his best interests in mind to show him what a global mayor is and how much liability without authority they hold.
I will hope for his prompt reply as he typically does that when I write him.
So thanks for paving the path!
Great Job Shelagh!
Perhaps a connection to Shelaugh to obtain a copy of her slide presentation??
any way to download this video?? Many thanks, Frank
Take Back Alberta representatives took over the UCP AGM and made 15 minute cities illegal, among other things...

Agree Jon, and “sinister” is an understatement.

we are hoping to develop a BC LaRouche group - are you on Signal or Telegram?
Well you will be enjoying the BRI developments of today - BRICS+ and Schiller Institute (Helga Zepp-LaRouche) are supporting a similar path toward a multipolar peaceful world... tomorrow at 11am EST there is an Emergency Forum ~ https://schillerinstitute.com/blog/2023/11/20/emergency-forum-no-more-war-crimes-economic-development-not-depopulation/
