I Canada, am still waiting to see justice served on those that beat people (I was going to say protesters, but they were not even really protesting. They just wanted to provide unity, love and support) that were present in Ottawa and those ran over with horses. Haven't heard a peep. And yes police should definitely not be investigating themselves.
I can see the media spinning this into "we don't need aggressive police, so replace them with AI surveillance tech (that will further control via addiction to blue light):
The American Constitution includes the 2nd Amendment telling the government that we have the right to bear arms and to organize ourselves in such a way that we can defend against this kind of government violent overreach. Stupidly most of us would rather organize sporting events.
This is a good thing. A great thing. Now how do these people get all their monies spent on lawyers and court costs back ? The people ? Individual suits plus the departments themselves ? The brutality Oz went through, Im glad to see theres maybe a silver lining
"The whole Good Cop / Bad Cop question can be disposed of much more decisively. We need not enumerate what proportion of cops appears to be good or listen to someone's anecdote about his uncle Charlie, an allegedly good cop.
We need only consider the following: A cop's job is to enforce the laws, all of them; many of the laws are manifestly unjust, and some are even cruel and wicked; therefore every cop has to agree to act as an enforcer for laws that are manifestly unjust or even cruel and wicked. There are no good cops.” Robert Higgs, Voluntaryist scholar
Hi Canadian Independent. Thanks as always for your investigative journalism. On a separate topic, could you please point me in the direction of the best Canadian resource (Ontario specific, preferably) that is advocating for Canadian withdrawal from the WHO? The WEF annual meeting is coming up on May 27th and I’m concerned Canadians are not doing enough to oppose amendments to the International Health Regulations or the Pandemic Treaty. If there are any protests happening around Toronto, I’d really love to attend/volunteer and show my support.
What will this mean, here in Canada?
Not a damn thing
Where’s the justice in Canada.
