I don't understand the mentality of the people making these kinds of decisions. Do they not understand the risks they're taking? When you've lost everything, people tend to lose it, and the longer you keep pushing this insanity the greater your chances of meeting that one person you pushed over the edge who no longer has any purpose in life other than ending yours.
