Bill C-293, the Pandemic Prevention and Preparedness Act, which has passed its first reading before the Senate, aims to establish robust measures to mitigate future pandemics.
Are we surprised? No one should be surprised. It's Canada. We abdicated our 'sovereignty' to the concept of global governance which 'One Health' is a part. We've been seeing this play out at the WHO and there was no doubt Canada was going to support it under this government.
The folly of one size fits all medicine should be of great concern to citizens. The idea that we must usurp individual rights for 'public health' will come with drastic unintended consequences harming millions of people.
Covid was a planned dry run. They liked the Pavlovian nature of Canadians. Now they're going for the kill. Why not?
I don't know what we can to push back - though not sure how successful the WHO's treaty will be at it seems to be getting some resistance.

Why in the world would the need to seek out "alternate sources of protein" be in this Bill? Unless, they plan on killing all the cattle, chicken, pigs, etc. This Bill is completely insane, what can we do? Can it be stopped? Mass email campaign? We've got to do something!!
Jon, Have you compared the CPC Governing Documents’ clause on “pandemic preparedness”? Still calls for PPE, vaccines, quarantine and lockdowns. In my view, based on Poilievre’s voting record on Bill C-4, Paris Agreement, Digital ID which was conceived by FINA which he chaired, the self professed WEF members still in his cabinet and his MP Stephanie Kusie who sits on the Trilateral Commission, and many, many others indicators, Poilievre is just another tool of the UN/WEF.
