According to a newly released December 2023 report by Statistics Canada, "All provinces and territories recorded losses in their interprovincial migration exchanges in the third quarter of 2023 except for Alberta." The report highlights that Alberta has attracted 10,000 or more citizens to its province for 5 consecutive quarters, with Ontario and British Columbia experiencing the most citizen losses to Alberta.
Family of five here, just left Ontario for Alberta. All this historic migration continuing through 2023 does not surprise me at all; relatively, the way BC & Ontario (the government & people) conducted themselves during COVID was absolutely shocking & frightening. There are practically, in terms of critical mass, no liberty-minded non-TV-brainwashed “conservatives” left in Ontario; apparently there's a seemingly honest right-wing party that actually got into the BC legislature, so more hope there.
OK we need our BC Conservatives to change things here NOW!
