Updated numbers show that Canada's Vaccine Injury Support Program has now paid out nearly $6.7 million in injury claims since June 2021
The Canadian government’s Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) was introduced in June 2021 following the release of the COVID-19 vaccines.
The website updates every six months and provides statistical data on claimants.
The most recent update was on June 20, 2023, and it shows that the VISP has now paid out nearly $6.7 million to 103 Canadians who have suffered a serious vaccine injury that was most likely caused by a COVID-19 vaccine.
Back in January 2023, the VISP had indicated that it paid out almost $2.8 million in compensation. This means that in the last six months, the Canadian government has paid out an additional $3.9 million in compensation.
The numbers also indicate that in the last six months, the VISP has received an additional 560 vaccine injury claims, bringing the total to 1,859. Out of those claims, 1,553 have been deemed admissible.
According to the VISP, a claimant is entitled to compensation if “the Medical Review Board determines that there is a probable link between the injury and the vaccine, and if the injury is deemed serious and permanent.”
The next updated numbers will be available in December 2023.
that's probably bare minimum, many did not get paid
Their numbers do not add up when total comp paid per person is around $120,000. Something stinks in Ottawa.
