My Ontario Public Health FOI request for internal conversations about serious adverse reactions to the Covid-19 vaccines yielded 36,000 pages and they want $39,750.00 to process the request.
My Ontario Public Health provincial freedom of information request on any internal emails or documented conversations about reported serious adverse events related to the Covid-19 vaccines has yielded 36,000 pages of records and they are requesting a whopping $39,750.00 to process my request.
I intend to try and have the price significantly reduced using Section 57 (4) (b) & (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990.
Section 57 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, is a section that offers a fee waiver.
Within that section it states, "A head shall waive the payment of all or any part of an amount required to be paid under subsection (1) if, in the head’s opinion, it is fair and equitable to do so after considering,
(b) whether the payment will cause a financial hardship for the person requesting the record.
(c) whether dissemination of the record will benefit public health or safety.
I will keep you posted.
Should taxpayers pay for your request?
The hours put here are inflated so badly! Is it a one fingered blind guy doing the search and send? Perhaps you could start a go fund me?
