Justin Trudeau announced today that he was appointing former Governor General David Johnston to investigate allegations of Chinese election interference in Canada.
back in 2017, Trudeau refers to Johnston as a “family friend” in the video attached.
According to Wikipedia, David Johnston was friends with Pierre and Margaret Trudeau.
Johnston is also listed as a member of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation.
