FOI request reveals the Public Health Agency of Canada likely inflated unvaccinated case counts and withheld crucial information.
On April 26, 2022, I submitted multiple freedom of information (FOI) requests to the Public Health Agency of Canada, including a request for the raw data on cases, hospitalizations, and deaths categorized by vaccine status from January 1, 2020, to April 26, 2022. On April 9, 2023, I received all of the raw data as requested.
It is important to note that the graphs I created below will include one year's worth of data for the unvaccinated population before the vaccine roll-out. Its also important to note that any raw data I received that contained incomplete information was removed from my analysis.
My main purpose for requesting this data was to examine the raw information and compare it with the information presented in the weekly reports on the Public Health Agency of Canada's website. I wanted to determine if they were incorporating data from the unvaccinated population prior to the vaccine roll-out to inflate the numbers.
According to the Public Health Agency of Canada's weekly reports on cases, hospitalizations, and deaths based on vaccine status, they only reported data from December 14, 2020, which is the day of the vaccine roll-out.
The raw data I received includes all provinces and territories except for Quebec. Quebec did not report cases, hospitalizations, and deaths based on vaccine status to the Public Health Agency of Canada; they solely reported cases without any additional information. Therefore, Quebec is not included in the analysis.
It is worth mentioning that the reporting included "Probable" cases, which means the patient's positivity was not confirmed but assumed. There was a considerable amount of probable cases in the data. Since probable cases were considered a positive case by PHAC, I have included them in my findings as well.
Another crucial aspect to consider is the challenge of determining the precise number of unvaccinated cases prior to the vaccine roll-out. While the raw data provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) includes dates, PHAC has acknowledged the potential for inaccuracies in date data entry. However, I have been assured that all the data requested in my Freedom of Information (FOI) request aligns with the specified requested time period.
First, I would like to present to you the public information that was reported by the Public Health Agency of Canada on their website in May 2022, which corresponds to the period when I submitted my freedom of information request for COVID cases categorized by vaccine status.
Now I want to show you what the raw data from my freedom of information request actually shows. It is important to note that the graph includes a year's worth of unvaccinated cases prior to the vaccine roll-out.
As you can see, the unvaccinated raw case data obtained from my FOI request is approximately 50% lower than the figures reported by the Public Health Agency of Canada on their website. This raises the question: where did the additional 477,701 unvaccinated cases come from?
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the Public Health Agency of Canada failed to include data on cases with individuals who had received four doses on their website. At that time, there were almost 14,000 cases reported in the four-dose vaccinated group.
Let’s now compare the combined data of the unvaccinated with those who received one, two, three, and four doses, and examine the results side by side.
Now, let's analyze the hospitalization data reported by the Public Health Agency of Canada around the time of my FOI request and compare it to the findings I obtained.
Here is the raw data provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada, which has been compiled in the graph below, representing hospitalizations categorized by vaccine status.
At first glance, the data may appear unfavorable for the unvaccinated group. However, it's important to note again that my graph includes a year's worth of unvaccinated hospitalizations prior to the vaccine roll-out, which can significantly impact the results.
It’s also evident that the raw data provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada shows slightly higher numbers of second and third dose hospitalizations compared to what is stated on their website. Furthermore, their website data does not include any fourth dose hospitalizations, whereas the raw data reveals over 1500 cases in that category.
The graph below depicts a comparison between the unvaccinated group and the combined 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dose.
The above graph demonstrates a slight difference between the unvaccinated and vaccinated groups in terms of hospitalizations. However, it is essential to remember that this data includes hospitalizations that occurred before the vaccine roll-out. For instance, if a significant portion of the unvaccinated hospitalizations (e.g., 10,000) took place before the vaccine roll-out, it is plausible that the vaccinated group would have a higher number of hospitalizations overall.
Now lets take a look at the deaths.
Now lets take a look at the raw data they provided.
The raw data reveals a lower number of unvaccinated and second dose deaths compared to what is claimed on the Public Health Agency of Canada's website. Additionally, the raw data indicates a higher number of deaths among individuals who received one dose and three doses, in contrast to what is reported on the website.
Furthermore, the raw data includes 53 deaths among individuals who had received four doses, which was not mentioned on the Public Health Agency of Canada’s website.
Once again, it is crucial to emphasize that this death data encompasses a year's worth of unvaccinated deaths prior to the vaccine roll-out. Please take this into account when interpreting the findings.
Based on analysis of all the raw data, I believe they included unvaccinated data especially with respects to cases from prior to the vaccine roll-out in the reported numbers and claimed it was only from the start of the vaccine roll-out date.
Its also evident that they withheld fourth dose information from the public with respects to hospitalizations and deaths. It is indeed perplexing why the Public Health Agency of Canada did not acknowledge the hospitalizations and deaths from the fourth jab. Considering they had the data at the time, the omission raises questions about their transparency and reporting practices. The failure to include such crucial information leaves room for speculation and undermines the agency's credibility in providing a comprehensive and accurate overview of the situation.
There is certainly more to explore and investigate regarding this matter, and I am determined to continue my efforts. This request has provided valuable insights, and I intend to apply the knowledge gained to future inquiries and requests.
At the moment I have several freedom of information requests currently filed with the Public Health Agency of Canada, one of which is similar to this current request which I just filed and it will have more extensive and refined data. This new request will include additional information such as age, province/territory data, and I was sure to ask for the “clean data.” The data for that request will be from December 14, 2020 (start of vaccine roll-out) to September 25, 2022 (when they ceased reporting).
I have another significant freedom of information (FOI) request incoming, which pertains to all internal conversations within the Public Health Agency of Canada regarding serious adverse events associated with the Covid-19 vaccines. You can see that request in the image below. That request stands as the largest FOI ever filed with PHAC, and I have been advised that it could potentially yield a staggering number of documents, possibly reaching upwards of 30,000 pages. So please make sure to subscribe to my Substack and you wont miss any of this important information that will be coming down the pipeline in the future.

FOI request reveals the Public Health Agency of Canada likely inflated unvaccinated case counts and withheld crucial information.
I thought to make a request for internal conversations and documents but was in over my head. Glad someone is doing it. Good stuff.
Excellent work! Thanks for making the data easy to digest.
