A coroner has ruled that a doctor died due to a reaction to the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine during one of the first rounds of vaccination.
Dr Stephen Wright, a 32-year-old NHS clinical psychologist and frontline health worker, passed away ten days after receiving the jab.
The inquest at London’s Southwark coroner’s court heard that Wright suffered from a combination of a brainstem infarction, bleed on the brain and vaccine-induced thrombosis.
The coroner Andrew Harris noted that the inquest’s conclusion was not “blaming AstraZeneca”.
Wright's widow, Charlotte, has said that she is considering legal action against AstraZeneca and the government.
